The McLeslies

There are six McLeslie children: twins Julie & Olivia, Payton, Pierce, Delia and Chloe. And their brave and loyal pig Petunia. They live with their parents in a log house not far from the picnicking field, about a half day's walk to the nearest town.

After their first adventure being captured by Snaggletooth and rescued by their baby sister Chloe and Petunia the pig, they make a pact to protect one another from the witch, who is out for revenge.

Snaggletooth tries repeatedly to recapture the children, but suffers one setback after another. Later that summer, she comes down with a terrible case of the hives after the children knock her into a bank of fresh green grass. She stays mostly in bed until the fall. At Halloween she makes another capture attempt, and almost makes off with little Pierce, but Delia and Chloe charge forth on the valiant Petunia and knock Snaggletooth clear off her feet. They lock her up in the barn and she only manages to escape due to the timely help of her great Aunt Millie, who flies in on her broom. In the winter, she tries to surprise the children while they are out playing in the snowy field, but they bombard her with snowballs and trap her in a snow pit. They leave her there when they are called in for dinner and again, Aunt Millie comes to her rescue, though not in time to prevent Snaggletooth from catching a terrible case of pneumonia. By the time spring rolls around, she is exhausted and more frustrated than ever, but still vows to have her revenge on the McLeslie children.
